“Ruby Slippers”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

This was by far the highlight of my visit to the Museum of American History, although the original Kermit the Frog was up there too! So much to see that it took us 2 days to view everything. Great pop culture history of our country and how it has evolved over the years.

“Must See!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Cannot describe all there is to see, but if you're in DC you must go. It really is America's Attic. Kid friendly.

“So Little Time, So Much To See”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We are local and visit a number of times each year. The new colonial furniture exhibit was stunning but so much of what they do is. Visitor's can take two full days and be happy they did.

“Busy, but absolutely amazing!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

First of all...free! I can't believe such a treasure was free!
We had so much fun viewing the exhibits that we almost completely ignored the gift shops...which is really saying something because we are big gift shop fans!

“So many! So do your Homework Ahead of Time”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

There are actually many Smithsonian. Not always totally organized. So do your homework and find out what you are looking for and then seek out that item. Do you want Air & Space or Art? Do you want Natural History and animals or American History and development. Know what you want and give yourself a limit. 2 hours is minimal, but 4 hours will cost you half of a day.
