We really enjoyed having the bikes. They provided locks, helmets, carrying case, pump, inner tube, etc. We were able to zoom around the mall. Parking was easy as there were bike racks in front of the museums, or you can just lock it up on a street sign. The bike rack at the capitol is at the top of the hill (south east corner of the building). Overall, we felt like we were able to spend additional several hours seeing different things because we didn't have to spend so much time walking from place to place (a 45 minute walk is a 10 minute bike ride).
Some streets can be busy with Traffic. We did a mix of trying to find bike paths on the streets, riding on the street if there was not a lot of traffic, or riding on the sidewalk if there were not a lot of pedestrians. You can use the sidewalks when riding around the mall.
