This is our second Bike and Roll trip to DC. We went last fall too. It's the best way to get around the city. Our kids (Ages 4 and 6) sat in a two person Burley attached to my husband's bike, and it was easy to get around and affordable. My older daughter was a little cramped but we didnt want her on a tandem yet and it was a cool day so it worked out fine. We gave them snack and they were very happy. We biked through the mall and to Arlington. All during the MLK monument opening, so it was crowded but we got aroudn much faster than on foot. The prices are reasonable and staff pleasant and helpful. Just know that the old post office building in the downtown location of bike and roll, which has food, drinks and bathrooms doesnt open until noon on Sundays.

Just to clarify: Bike and Roll opens on Sunday at 9am. The building in which we operate opens at noon. So while we are accessible, the shops & restaurants within the Old Post Office are not - but if you show up and are looking for a bite or restroom before you rent, we can point you in the right direction. :)

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! I'm glad you're family had fun with us! We think biking around the city is the best way to see everything too!

In DC for a couple of days and stayed in Foggy Bottom district. We did a lot of walking the first day to the Memorials (Lincoln & various war ones) to Washington Monument to White House and back to our hotel. Our 2 young teens had no problem with the walking the distance but 8 year old didn't have the legs to continue exploring on foot next day so we decided to hire some bikes.
We found Bike & Roll quite easily and they had a "Tow Along" tandem for our youngest. With the bikes we easily travelled on the pathways and got to see areas we wouldn't have had time for on foot.
Price was economical and the service was quite good. They also provide U-locks at no extra charge so you can secure the bikes when you explore some areas on foot. Bike helmets are also provided for no charge. Even the seats were comfy!
Thanks Bike & Roll!

Congratulations to our amazing tour guide Neil who led the most enjoyable experience I shared in WA DC last Monday. The experience started with friendly courteous personnel who carefully ensured the equipment required for the event were suited precisely to each guest. The weather was a perfect 75 degrees and a bit overcast so not too hot for our afternoon adventure. Neil is an EXPERT on all things about WA DC and the monuments. His impeccable command of the English language keeping it entertaining and just enough information to not "overwhelm" us with too much. We visited all the monuments I desired to see in the 3 hour tour and had plenty of time to check out each one up close/take photos. My hat goes off to your company and your exquisite staff for a very memorable and enjoyable experience. All the best to you and keep up the great work guys.

Wish i had found this four days ago.
It was great to be able to see the sights and not have sore feet at the end of the day.
Excellent and quick service and was soon on our way. If you want to save yourself a lot of time and effort in walking get down to the bike and rool at Union Station you wont regret it. We were able to see the out the way monuments and even got over to Arlington without the hassle of the metro.
Well worth the money.
Washington is made for this sort of travel, everyone was friendly and went out there way to help.

Thank Frank W
