This wall immortalizes the 58,000+ soldiers who died in the SE Asian conflict. It puts a human face on the war. Like most people of my age, I knew someone who died in this war -- he sat behind me in English class in HS. You can easily research the location of the name of anyone who died on the wall. Unfortunately, many of the names are so high up on the wall that you cannot take an impression.
The memorial does a wonderful job of remembering those who died in this war; however, it does not do enough to honor all who fought in the war. I am glad that they added the bronze statue of the three standing soldiers and the women's memorial.
