“Beautiful design!”

When you think of a library, you do not often think of elaborate frescoes, marble arches and terrazzo tile floors. The Thomas Jefferson building of the Library of Congress complex is an architectural stunner!

“Combine with a Capitol visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

This one is interesting and beautiful too. Exhibits are well presented and with good details. Access here from the capitol through a long hallway, saving you from the heat of walking to this site... Enjoy!

“Must See”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Honestly, probably the most beautiful and underrated building in Washington, D.C. It is much prettier than the White House, and many of other buildings--you'd never believe it was built by the Army Corps of Engineers--didn't think they could build anything that gorgeous.

If you dont see this, then you are definitely missing a major sight on your visit to D.C.

“Exhibits too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

We came over from the Capital in the tunnel. We saw two posters on the way over for exhibits that my Daughter loved. One was about George and Ira Gershwin and the other was a collection about Bob Hope and political humor. She loves old movies and spent 1-1/2 hours in these two areas.
