Owner description: Though the Library of Congress doesn't own every book ever published, it sure has most of them, with 532 miles of shelves and 115 million items, with 7,000 added each working day.

Took the tunnel from the Capitol and loved the visit. This is a beautiful building with lots of history. The docent's provide a very interesting tour.

The architecture alone makes this building a must see. I could have spent hours just walking around the museum, mostly looking up. This building is a national treasure - and it's a pretty great library too. It's home to some very interesting historical artifacts and documents. Go check it out if you get a chance.

Beautiful building, informative history, and gracious volunteers contributed to an efficient visit to the library. I learned how to utilize the collection, the other DC location and it made me feel more like a resident than a visitor.

The building is impressive, though much of it is Inaccessible to the general public. Disappointing display of Thomas Jeffersons library - which is hidden behind perspex. I understand that this is to preserve the books, but books are supposed to be read, not seen on a shelf.
