This was one of the first memorials we visited on our trip to the National Mall and it was a good one. It is amazing how large and cool it was/is.

The memorials around the tidal basin seem to be a little less travelled than those on the "main drag" of the mall but they are well worth the visit. The views of the tidal basin, and all the way across to the White House from Jefferson's vantage point are very nice. We got out here very early morning which was nice, very few people and not hot and humid- yet.

This memorial is obviously a classic and pays proper tribute to Thomas Jefferson. It is a little more difficult to access than the other monuments but is definitely worth the trip.

The Jefferson Memorial is huge and beautiful. Love the reflection on the river. Loved the words on the wall. A must see.

Second only to the Lincoln Memorial in the "Wow" factor. This is a great place to make yourself sit and relax and reflect to take it all in. Suggest you take a taxi, especially in the summer.
