Wow I am from PR and had lived in Michigan for 26 years and I found this restaurant to be delicious, very friendly and the owner is fantastic (Giovanna Heikel). She is well known in the Latin community. She is pretty much involved in the kitchen and very eager to meet you and make sure that you like the her food.Came here with my daughter who doesn't eat steak much but she ordered the Bife de chorizo with amarillos and mamposteao. I ordered the ripe plantain with meat called the pastelon and it was very delicious. Now for the dessert we ordered the passion fruit cheesecake with a chocolate bottom and it was sinfully fantastic. I had eaten at many puertorican cuisine restaurants in the states and this one tops it. Come here if you have the opportunity to come to DC.
