Look up at the outside of the Lincoln Memorial. You see the states on admission order in Roman numerals.
This is our favorite memorial. Super impressive. We love reading his speech. Always gives me the chills. Don’t miss this.
Definitely worth the walk and spending time there. The speeches are on the walls and the view to the Washington Monument and Capitol are fabulous. Walk along the water towards the Smithsonian Museums.
No need to talk more about this place, it is a must see when u travel to Washing ton DC, the capital of the US
This was bigger than I expected. It is a little more out of the way, but I would say worth the visit. I went in the morning and there was hardly anyone there.
I first saw this when I was 12 years old. It never gets am less awe inspiring. The monument is a must see in Washington. Lincoln was an incredible example of perserverance and American intuition. I love this monument.
Go early in the morning to get better lighting and avoid the crowds. Summer trips can be humid, so bring plenty of water and an umbrella for shade.
This is such an iconic memorial, totally worth seeing. There are a lot of steps to get to the top, but totally worth the view. Looking out over the Mall, just beautiful!
This monument really is something special. It made me stop and think a minute. I am from the south with a southern view on things. It says he saved the union. After some thought, I guess he did.
Wonderful place. Glad to see they are doing the necessary repairs to the roof and structure to preserve this wonderful place. This is a definite must see.
It's a great place to pay homage to Lincoln. It's also located in a wonderful spot to sit and get amazing views of the National Mall.
