Much more majestic than one realizes. A must see and a great start point for key places to see. We took Uber from our hotel to the memorial and started our day from there. It’s A logical step to move on to the Korean War memorial, Vietnam War memorial, WWII and Washington monument.

Not much to say that hasn't been said about the most iconic memorial in the US. We visited both at night and during the day and it was humbling both times.

My son was part of a high school band playing for the Parade of heros the Saturday before veterans day. Such a big honor. Its amazing durning day but breath taking at night. Must see for sure both by day and by night.

Not much to say about a statue but here goes. Its iconic, free and a must see whilst in DC. Best at night and during the week when it's slightly less touristy. Highly recommend.

The grounds were very well kept. Even with the large amounts of visitors (including school groups and tour busses) the Information Center employees were very polite and helpful. Breathtaking monument when you see it in person.

The best view of Lincoln sitting so majestically is from outside the structure, looking up. Like so many other visitors I had an urge to get closer to the huge statue, but the stairs were a non-starter. A park ranger happened to walk by so I asked if there was an elevator and it turns out there is! It's to the left as you face the big guy.

This is a famous landmark you have to visit, if not because you without doubt couldn't avoid seeing pictures from it if you are older than 10 and live on earth. Quiet a view from the top facing away from Mr Lincoln too.

We visited the White House and there were disrespectful protesters shouting untruths about the US and our president. We walked to the Washington Monument and it was a great photo op. But everything else pales in comparison to the Lincoln Memorial. After viewing the beautiful structures and water features at the WWII memorial, you’ll take a 2,000 foot stroll beside the reflecting pool to the majestic Lincoln Memorial. As you approach the steps of the Memorial, you’re able to see a glimpse of the 19 ft tall marble statue of Lincoln. Then you reach the top, and wow. On the right of the statue is his 2nd Inaugural Address and on the left The Gettysburg Address. Both are sprinkled with respect for our country, people and most of all our God! There were NO protesters at the Lincoln Memorial.

Julie and I were astounded at the crossroads of liberty and history at the Lincoln Memorial.
Absolutely the most breathtaking, uniting, and emboldening monument in ALL of DC.
Must Must See!!
