Owner description: Find out for yourself why everyone is calling the Newseum the best experience Washington, D.C. has to offer. Each of the seven levels in this magnificent building is packed with interactive exhibits that explore free expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. Whether you have just a few hours or want to spend all day, you'll find something for everyone in the family in the Newseum's 15 theaters and 15 galleries.

We enjoyed our visit here spending about 3 1/2 hours without seeing most of the films that they offer. There are 6 floors of information to try to absorb. I really enjoyed the FBI exhibit and the headlines of the decades. It does seem that most of the "news" is negative or worse vs. the "feel good" news (exceptions apply of course). You could easily spend an entire day here or better split it into 2 days (ticket is good for 2 days). It's not cheap to visit especially that most of the attractions in the area are free, but I felt it was worth it and in a different format which was a good change of pace.

This is one of the pay museums that we went to on our trip to DC, but it was worth every penny. We spent half a day and were entertained the whole time. One place not to pass up is the room of headlines from year to year, we spent a while there.

This museum is so packed with information and interactive activities you will need to take advantage of the 2-day pass to take it all in.

Attracted to Newseum by the Berlin Wall exhibit which did not disappoint - totally fascinating. Also enjoyed the 9/11 exhibit and the award winning photographs on display. Also recommend the views from the top floor balcony and coffee and pastries from the restaurant.

A fresh look at the history, presentation and changes of the news that affects our lives. Everything from the Kennedy's Camelot, Tim Russert's Meet the Press, a piece of the Berlin Wall, Anchorman's impact to the FBI's news stories and more.
