Fantastic museum. We enjoyed remembering some of the great media coverages and stories, The gallery with the award winning photographs is fascinating (and the huge screen showing them as well). The expo is very well organized. We spent 3 hours there (likely the minimum required), but could easily stay more.

“Great view from the balcony”

Enjoyed seeing part of the Berlin Wall --had seen it in place in 1970s. Liked the front page newspaper displays which highlight regional differences. Some of the other exhibits were not so engaging. No interest in the Anchorman exhibit.

“unexpected treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

You need a full day to experience this attraction. Every floor (there are about 6) is packed with interesting facts and views about the role of the media, past, present and future. The staff are very helpful, providing information and taking photos of tourists using the tourists' camera. The display on the role of the media and some journalists in the World Trade Centre attack is both compelling and moving. this is a must see and an attraction we will not forget.

“Best museum I've ever been to”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013 via mobile

First off, I cannot believe the negative reviews, especially the ones complaining that it costs money. The Newseum, unlike many of the other museums in town, is not federally funded. The current admission is $22, which I thought was very reasonable. There are discounts for students, senior citizens and AAA members.

As someone who works in the journalism field, I found all of the exhibits to be relevant and interesting. The Pulitzer Prize photo exhibit was my favorite. The 9/11 video was heart-wrenching. The "Anchorman" exhibit was small, but entertaining. My mom, who I was expecting to be bored while I "nerded out," actually really liked it, too.

If you enjoy news, photojournalism, etc., you don't want to miss this museum.

“One of the Best Museums I've Seen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2013

Thought this might take 2 or 3 hours to breeze through. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. Engaging, interesting exhibits. I REALLY want to go back soon. I ended up spending my entire day's time -- six hours -- at this one museum.

Well worth a visit. More than just news. It's quite comprehensive. And something for all ages.
