“Wonderful museum!”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

You can easily spend all day here. There are a lot of exhibits, a 4-D movie, several films and interactive things to do. My wife and I were here about 4 hours and could have spent that much more. Your ticket allows you to come back the next day, but we were leaving town early the next morning. I recommend you watch the orientation movie at the beginning. It is helpful. Although there a lot of interesting exhibits, among the best are the 3-story guard tower from the Berlin Wall, the antennae from the top of the World Trade Center, and the Unabomber's cabin.

“Take a couple of hours to explore”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

We had free tickets thanks to our hotel and visited with friends. 4 or 5 floors of interesting media related items. There is a control room, hall of papers from every year that take some time to read, a fantastic view of the capitol building from the top floor. There was an exhibition on the FBI and JFK when we were there that were fascinating. I could have taken all day to just stop and read everything. We missed the film by 10 seconds and although it had not started they would not let us in so we missed it. The food in the restaurant was ok but a little pricey and the shops had a few good things. Is it worth paying for when all the other museums are free, well our friends thought so - it took us a few hours to get round. The most interesting part was the item from the world trade centre and the story of the journalist that died taking pictures - his pictures and cameras are all there.

“Reveals Business Behind the News”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

This really is a history museum for it chronologues mostly U.S. history (plus Berlin Wall). It gives, though, how history is portrayed through the news media. The power of the news machines is evident from touring this museum. Clean, lots of film clips, great food, and little waiting time. LOVED it!

“The 9/11 Exhibit is a must-see”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

I also loved the temporary exhibit of Tim Russert's office and the Creating Camelot photographic exhibit. Make sure you allow at least half a day to see everything.
