Each of the seven levels in this magnificent building is packed with interactive exhibits that explore free expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. Whether you have just a few hours or want to spend all day, you'll find something for everyone in the family in the Newseum's 15 theaters and 15 galleries.

My family and I stayed half a day here. There is so much to see and do. The teens loved it so did my husband and I. We really could have stayed longer but had an apt elsewhere. The Newseum is very clean, staff great and food court very good.

If you are looking for a great day trip to DC and have a restless teenager, this is the place. The are tons of interactive activities, sites such as the Berlin Wall and attention catchers like the FBI section. Heck, even the elevator is fun! I highly recommend for adults or children over 13. There are sports sections, 9/11 memorials ans even newspapers dating back to 1600's to view. Gift shop was a let down, but otherwise, this was top notch. All of the employees were kind adn eager to help. It is close to Smithsonians, but minus the annoying crowds. It is DEFINITELY not a little person museum.

This museum could have taken two days to see-- we did it in about 3 hours. It is very interactive and very well organized. It's a little expensive because it is not part of the Smithsonian complex. Don' forget to ask for a senior citizen discount!

You may ask yourself if it is really worth paying over $20/person for a museum in a town where most other museums are free. Well, it is!! I loved every minute of this place and I was glad to find out that tickets are good for two days- there is no way I could have finished with this place in one day...

Don't miss the 4D movie.
Take your time to see each floor, the themes are varied and interesting.
Use the terrasse for a nice city view from a different point of view
