“Allow a few hours: it's worth it!”

This is a great museum offering vivid insights into news over time through the Pulitzer Price winning photographs; emotional exhibits of 9/11 and the Berlin Wall, as well as more light hearted newsroom recordings.

“Fresh Tech Exibits”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

If you’re a news junkie, then this is worth a visit. If you’re not, there’s still a little bit of everything for everyone, but the ticket price point may leave some yearning for a bit more in the end. The exhibits are filled with fresh technology and content. The security and staff were very friendly and professional here.

Give yourself time to stroll around… we burned through 2.5 hours with little effort. Nice view of the capital off the top balcony. Being a news reporter for the day looked like fun for the kids, adults too. The 4D movie theater was OK, kids might have fun with it, thought the movie was a bit too lean on substance.

At times, the overarching theme at this museum was too pretentious, would have been refreshing to see a more balanced approach to the influence of modern day journalism in society.

“Great museum with an excellent food court!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

The museum is HUGE. The entrance fee is a bit pricey, but the 50% off living social discount makes it a steal! We spent nearly 3 hours there and barely scratched the surface. The ticket is good for two days, but one day was satisfactory for us. The food court is probably the best one among the DC museums. There's so much too see, but not overwhelming. If you don't plan to take advantage of the 2 day entrance, definitely map out which exhibits you want to see, because you cannot see it all in one day. I highly recommend it!

“Very interesting, fun museum.”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Newseum was suggested to me by a colleague and it was well worth my time and money. It has THE front page of newspapers across the globe, up to the minute news on the big screens, as well as some amazing history including part of the Berlin Wall. Loved the Presidential campaign portion of the Newseum.

“Best Museum in DC”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

I'm a news junkie so this museum had great appeal to me, but my 12 yr old son was fascinated too and said this is the one museum he wants to come back to visit.
