Owner description: Find out for yourself why everyone is calling the Newseum the best experience Washington, D.C. has to offer. Each of the seven levels in this magnificent building is packed with interactive exhibits that explore free expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. Whether you have just a few hours or want to spend all day, you'll find something for everyone in the family in the Newseum's 15 theaters and 15 galleries.

If you are an information junkie you're going to love this place! Tons of history, you can see the front page of the paper from dates far past, and their photographic archives are amazing.

It's not just about the history of the news industry, but a view of history that brings out the emotion. Seeing boxes of tissues in the 911 exhibit and people coming out crying shows the emotional power this museum brings out in people. For a larger family a bit pricey, but I felt it was worth every penny. It was a great walk through history with newspapers and televison news. I think one of the best meuseum experienes in Washinton, D.C. bar none

This covers news and current events very well. It has several interactive displays that kids and adults will both like. It speaks to the value of a free press and how that contributed to many historic events. That is the area where it get a little self promoting. However, I would never want to live in a society of a "gagged" press.

The Newseum is a favorite for everyone. I am a DC guide and take visitors to all of the museums and attractions in the cuty. No one seems to mind paying for this museum because it is so informative and interesting (especially when I add personal stories about such things as the Berlin wall). Be sure to see the 4D video. Kids love it and actually learn at the same time!
