“The longest yard sale”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Went to our first Longest yard sale on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington..We got there on Thursday. The sale is advertized to be Friday-Monday Memorial weekend.. We found quite a few sales going on Thursday.. so we got a head start. Had a great time. The weather was a little soggy but thats to be expected at the ocean. Found many treasures to take back home. (we had to go back home on Saturday) Traffic was alittle tight getting to each house but other than that it was a blast.. we'll go back again....

“Photo Oppotunities Abound at the Beach”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

I have been going to the Long Beach Peninsula since I was a child and this Autumn had the blessing of sharing it with my great-grandchildren. The ocean beach was the most entertaining...hours and hours...for the youngest ones ages 1, 4 and 6. While my daughters, granddaughter and husbands sat back and caught up on our lives basking in the late summer sun. Incredible Sept and October in Washington State. The trips to explore the Lighthouses a few miles away we all enjoyed although for me it was quite a hike the trails were moderately easy and well maintained. There were so many smaller little towns nearby with their own personalities; Oysterville and Ilwaco were my favorites. Watching the fishing boats coming and going into the Columbia River always a highlight that all ages can enjoy.

“Long Beach”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

It was really foggy when we got there, which was weird because on the drive there it was a clear day. The ocean was cold too 68 from the 100 in Seattle! But for my daughter-in-law it was a 1st again. So to see the waves roll in and put her toes in the sand it was worth the drive. It is really windy, but people didn't seem to mind. Lots of places to shop, the bakery there was divine, oh my goodness, you've gotta stop in there! It was a pretty drive to get there.

“Nice short trip to the beach!!!!!!!”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We discover Long Beach last year and love it a lot. We just went to the Kite Festival this year and it was fun. They have vendors along the way towards the beach that sell from food to everything you need to enjoy the beach (sandle castle set, clothes, and kites). A long the main strip there are lots of restaurants (Thai, and Chinese), small shops, arcade, and mini carnival ride. Long Beach Thai Restaurant is very good if you are looking for Asian food. You do have to prepare for the cold, windy, and warm weather. I have kids so I pack for all weather conditions because you'll never know what the weather is like there. It might be warm on the main strip, but slightly cold on the beach. It's a nice place to visit compare to Ocean Shore. The restroom is nice and clean most of the time compare to Ocean Shore. They have decent price accommodations and it's nice to take a break from the city and hangout for a few days or for the weekends.
