We just came from spending a great day at Rebounderz in Sterling Virginia! It was a fantastic time for our extended family including kids from ages 2 through 17 plus their parents! The staff was very helpful and even played ball with the kids and showd them how to do different types of jumps. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The one thing that I would want to let people know is that you can not spend hours doing this.. It is loads of fun and great excercise, but is really exhuasting and after an hour we were done! Dress comfortably and in light clothes, It does make you sweat quite a bit. And make sure to bring pleanty of drinks. As mentioned above the staff is terrific and this is one activity that is perfect for every age.

Pros: clean, large facility, plenty of benches and other seating for those not bouncing, arcade games, easy parking

Cons: food service area terribly understaffed, pricey admission for those jumping ($16/hour), very little direction/how-to's provided by staff even after telling him this was our first time here, arcade games with the ticket reward system (boo hiss)

This place is a gold mine for whoever owns it. When we arrived at 3pm, there was a 90 minute wait for jumping. Not fun. Considering we drove 45 minutes to get there, we waited it out. Fortunately (i guess), the wait turned out to be 60 minutes. The staff were pleasant overall. All young workers. Your admission price includes a soft shoe and soft helmet rental. I believe these are mandatory and not an option. Once it is your turn to jump, you are instructed on the rules of jumping as well as some safety tips. "Referees" stay in the trampoline area at all times, which is nice. Non-jumpers, parents, grandparents etc. can stand right there and watch or they can find a bench and watch on the tv monitors.

All jumpers must sign a release/wavier (or the parent signs for a minor).

I'd guess the average jumper was 13 years old or so. Saw some as young as 5 up to older teens.

You can buy a birthday package or just make your own, which is what we did for my 10 year old son. He picked two of his closest friends and we headed for Sterling, got there early and they bounced for two hours, which was just enough to wipe them out. We had lunch there, not a lot of variety but kids are satisfied with less, hot dogs and sodas. Then they spent about an hour in the arcade. When it was time to go the line to get in was almost out the door. GO EARLY!

Then place is huge, as big as a full-service grocery store, with party rooms, arcade, small gift shop and cafe, and a comfortable lounge area for parents. The main attraction is the trampolines, nothing like you would imagine, they are like a chess board of miniature trampolines all surrounded by a slanted bouncey wall so there is no risk of falling off. As trampolines go, these seem to have much of the "inherent risk" eliminated, but not enough that you don't have to sign the waiver, which clearly mentions the possibility of DEATH. In-your-face, but necessary if they want to stay in business.

The plentiful and courteous staff seemed to keep good order and we did not see anyone bleeding or crying or any ambulances in the parking lot, so on the whole, it was worth the drive from Rockville. We would do it again.
