“Very Satisfied”

My daughter and I were on our way to St. George to visit with my youngest daughter and decided to stop at Cove Fort. I had pasted by many times and never took the time to stop so this time we did and it was well worth our time. They have some big frontier days during the first week in August I hope to take some time off and go, it sounds like a lot of fun.

“An Impromptu Stop - An Unforgettable Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

From the moment Elder Borzea gave us the friendliest greeting until his tour ended, we were impressed with the fort history, restoration quality, and his articulate accounting of the days of Cove Fort. We are non Mormon, but found the tour to be one of the best we have ever taken. There was no pressure on us to discuss religion and Elder Borzea was most accommodating to our request to keep it to 30 minutes. Despite the time restriction, he covered the entire history and brought it to life.

“Interesting stop ... even for non-believers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

Interesting tour of a lovingly restored and preserved 1860s outback way station from the Mormon point-of-view.

The docents are true believers who clearly wouldn't mind bringing you into the fold. But they're also happy to let you just take in the history of the place. At the nice lady we drew as a guide was.

There's no charge for admission. They won't even accept a donation if you offer. That's pretty unusual in this day and age.

Check it out if you're in the area. At the very least, these folks have some of the cleanest restrooms in Utah.

“A Must See Historical Stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

We had a great visit at Cove Fort. My 4 young children loved seeing the different rooms where some real pioneers, and sometimes cowboys and even Indians stayed. Everything is restored and true to the time period. Very interesting place to see.

“Nice glimpse of history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

The cove fort is along highway 15 going through central Utah just north of the highway 70 turnoff is a very interesting place to take a break from the monotony of the road. Restored and run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it is an interesting glimpse into the history of this part of the country. It is free to the public and free personal guided tours make this a wonderful stop. It will also help clear up many misconceptions of the Mormon people. I was traveling through yesterday with my parents and it was well worth our time.
