“Solitario in Terlingua Tx”
Review of Solitario

Reviewed May 10, 2013

This is not really a review , mainly a experience that had me wishing i could have stayed longer. It was relaxing and peaceful, no traffic , no hustle and bustle ,no noise what so ever except for the crickets that echoed under the stars. oh and the stars !!! i have never seen so many. We stayed at The Wild Horse Station which are mobile homes nestled at the base of a mountain. Each home had a large porch where you can sit and watch the sun set and wait for the stars to come out... it was beautiful to say the least . Now i know what they mean when they say this is Gods country !!!!

Uh, like no cows. No cow paddies. This place aint been ranched in a long time and that's very rare for Texas. Awesome place. Bring water! You won't see people, you won't see remnants of human civilization except maybe for the ancients. Bring your recipe for baked Sotol - there's plenty of it.
