“FISHING WITH CAPTAIN SPARKY”

We live about 65 miles from Raystown Lake so I never entertained the thought of hiring a boat captain to fish. My husband made reservations. We were to be at Seven Points Marina no later than 5am. We were a little late (5:15am)...Sparky called to confirm, as he does not take credit cards...wanting to make sure we posted. We arrived at marina, parked...Sparky was waiting for us. He had a great set up for two people...lots of rods...we didn't have to do a thing.
Within the first hour we had a huge Striper (couldn't land him as my husband jolted the line)...but within the next hour we caught THREE huge (over ten pounds each)...lake trout.
It was a super sunny day (not good for Striper Fishing)....so around noon we called it a day.
Sparky is a true form fisherman...has won lots of championships with stripers, bass and trout.
He is the real deal.
Lunch is not provided as this is a fisherman's fishing trip. (Sparky will drop you off for food and/or bathroom breaks).
I truly recommend this to anyone serious about catching HUGE fish.

Beautiful waterfront camping. My husband and I rented a camper and went there for our anniversary. We actually were thinking about going to a different campground to see the area, but loved this so much we went back. The bathrooms were clean and sites lovely and shaded. Many were actually waterfront sites.

But it has changed since 2006... beautiful valley views, nice birds can be spot, if you like boating, there are those options too. Plan ahead. It's kinda hard to find.

We went to the lake to see the boats and just relax while we were traveling around. There was so much to see. Lots of pretty mountains and just relaxing on their small beach they have was nice. It was a clean area and not too much traffic.

The area is breathtaking - There are boat rentals, restaurants, horseback riding and beaches.
