“Amish country OHIO”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

My first trip to the amish counties in Ohio. Not my last. We are from PA so i am used to Lancaster PA. This is just as beautiful and enjoyable. We did alot of antiquing and bought beautiful, well made baskets from the locals. If you want to purchase baskets, do not get them from the shops. They are usually English ran and really mark the baskets up. Stop when you see a Amish buggy along a road with their baskets set out. I bought 2 huge laundry baskets, one has a wooden lid and 4 smaller baskets. I paid the same amount for all 6 that I would have paid at a shop for 1.

“Delightful day trip”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Spent a full day meandering through Amish Country in Ohio. Plenty of lovely places to stop, shop, eat and to peruse the local crafts and customs. Friendly folks in each little area, wonderful food and quaint shops all along the scenic drive. Lovely countryside and reasonable traffic, not hectic. Would make this trip again in a heartbeat!

“Beautiful, pristine country”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

This was my first visit to Ohio. The countryside is beautiful and so well kept. Rolling hills and valleys.

Visited Berlin, Millersburg, Walnut Creek, Sugarcreek - all the small Amish towns enjoying their fresh produce markets, yummy bakeries, cheese factorie and delicious meals - everything was very reasonably priced. Wished we could have bought more but couldn't since we are on a two week fly/drive vacation.

The Amish people work hard and it shows - very friendly. If you haven't been to the Amish country - you should go at least once. Very enjoyable day trip from Mansfield, OH.

“Taking Grandson to Visit”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

My husband and I took our 12 yr old grandson to visit Amish country. We took him to see the Country Variety Show in Walnut Creek and it was not good at all. My husband's comment was that he could not believe that we actually spent $50.00 on something so "corny". Even our grandson expressed his disappointment. We stayed at the Miller Haus Bed and Breakfast. That was a nice facility and we were comfortable enough but was dissapointed in the breakfast and how they collected the plates immedately making sure that you did not "linger" even though check out was an hour away. We went to the Rolling Ridge Ranch and drove through. This was very good and well worth the money. We all enjoyed it as well as their petting zoo. We enjoyed Heini's Cheese Chalet, Lemans Hardware, Der Dutcman Rest. as well as the bakery. Their cream filled sticks are the best ! Other very good and enjoyable places were Troyers Country Market, Keim's Lumberyard, The Amish Door Restaurant, and watching the Amish bale hay.

“great way to spend the day!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

we had such a good time touring Amish country in Holmes county , Ohio. tip: go to the dollar general in millersburg and buy a cheap Styrofoam cooler - fill with ice from your hotel- you will need this as you travel to the different towns for cheese, fruits, veggies etc.
