We just took a scenic drive thru on the way to Valley of Fire Park and the Hoover Dam. At first I was upset that the GPS had decided to take us this way. It cost $ 10 to enter the park. But my disapointment was over very quickly when we decided to stop at Red Rock. It has bathrooms and a 30 min hiking trail that takes you around the towering red rock cliffs in the area. The rocks have little "apartments" in them where you can look for wildlife like horned lizards and pack rats. It is beautiful and easy hike. There are also many scenic photo areas where you can stop to take pictures along the way. Also your park entry pass is good for almost a week so be sure you hang on to it if you want to visit the area again.
