“Oh my what views”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

We had beautiful sunny weather as we headed out of Red Lodge to drive the Beartooth! The scenery is unbelievable and how did anyone ever figure out the "shortest distance between two points?" The traffic was fairly light and we made several stops at the various turnouts to take pictures. Talked to several folks traveling on motorcycles and we even filmed the trip with a GoPro mounted on the hood of the car! We saw some snow on the sides of the road plus lots of pretty flowers - yellow, blue, and red! We drove through Cooke City and went on to Silver Gate for lunch at the Log Cabin Cafe (another review!). Then we headed east bound on the Beartooth and ran into rain on the return. all in all a fabulous trip!

One of the best drives in my life. This is an absolutely amazing drive. Do not miss. I cannot describe it and I will not make an attempt either.

“Spectacular”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

This is not to be missed. The views are amazing everywhere you turn - and you turn alot weaving up to the top of the mountain to 10,900 feet then back down the other side. We were there the end of June and we got snowed on so be prepared. The ski slope on the highway still had people skiiing! What a sight. Red Lodge at one end and Cooke City at the other, both cute towns with lots to offer.

Absolutely beautiful! Yellowstone was great but this drive was even better! At our highest point according to our GPS, 10,900 feet. We were standing next to snow!! July 10, 2014

“How is this not #1?”

wow, amazing, jaw dropping, inspiring, awesome, spectacular, majestic, need I go on? We left or pop up trailer at a wonderful little forest service campground, Crazy Creek and drove the Beartooth to Red Lodge. Don't miss this drive if you love nature.
