This park is well-kept, with several picnic tables. The restrooms are chemical toilets. Needs more trash cans! The Cut River Bridge provides wonderful views down into the limestone valley below the bridge. Walk out onto the bridge for these views. Walk down the stairs (with lookouts, and lots of benches) to the Cut River, where it feeds into Lake Michigan. Beach is OK. Beautiful views. Walk the trail on either side of the river (there is a small footbridge for you to cross), back towards the picnic area. This can be a stressful trail, as it has a couple of good hills to climb. Benches at each hill. Wood chip path. You can also access a paved trail that goes under the bridge, then joins the stairway. Good views of the structure under the bridge. Quiet. Most times have the beach to yourself. Free.
