My 6-day, late-August trip with Canyons River Company has been one of the most rewarding and invigorating expeditions I have ever experienced. The guides were full of historic and engaging tales of the early explorations of this wild and beautiful river at every turn. My fellow guests came prepared for a pleasant and open journey and I left with new friends. The Canyons team performed, tirelessly and smiling, to make every aspect of the trip exceed all expectations. The seemingly endless supply of delicious food and wine was simply stunning from sun-up to sun-down every day on the river. I cannot thank Canyons enough for making this such a memorable experience and I am looking forward to my next journey in their company.

An amazing 6-day whitewater rafting experience with all star crew, great wines, and gourmet dinners every evening! Imagine having Maryland crab cakes, fresh grilled peaches, duck breast, grilled shrimp, filet mignon, the freshest of vegetables and greens grown by Canyons, and desserts to die for! Each meal was a new taste adventure prepared by our gourmet chef, and our "wine steward" had selected great wines to go with each meal.

The crew members knew the river and its history and even had a library of books about the river for us to read.We had hikes to historic sites and to see the petroglyphs. We heard stories dealing with the river's history and with the Sheepeaters, miners, ranchers and homesteaders who have lived along the Salmon both on the river and at camp. Each morning we had yoga on the beach to stretch for the day's river activities.

The crew thought of everything to make this trip memorable, and it was! We highly recommend Canyons, if you want a first class experience on the river!

We have traveled down the Middle Fork of the Salmon with Rocky Mountain River Tours (now Sawtooth Adventures) three times, just completing our last trip. We are drawn back by the serenity and beauty of the river, by the adventure of the white water and by the history of the area. We are anxious to return to renew friendships and to make new friends. We truly feel like family when we are greeted by guides we first met six years ago. And the new guides we met, quickly become like family members. They are all extremely professional, hard working, competent and knowledgeable. They are also warm and caring. While the river is magical, the people help draw us back. And then there is the food. Many first time guests were so amazed to find smoked trout as an appetizer on the first night....with wine, of course. And then, the dutch oven cakes, breads, tortes, sticky buns and lasagnas blew them away. The food is creative with quality ingredients and generous. Once again, it is the hard work of the guides that produce these amazing meals.
Do make this trip at some point in your life. Do marvel in the beauty, history and magic of the river. and do love the guides who make it all possible. And then, do it again. We will.

Had an outstanding trip with Clint Frank and the Middle Fork River Tours crew. Food was great every meal, and the fishing was tremendous. 50-fish days were the norm and the cutthroat were beautiful. This was my second trip with Middle Fork River Tours, and my friends and I are already talking about going again!
