Lake Lanier Islands at Sunset Cove offers a water park for the kids, zip lining, horse back riding, camping and fabulous golf. The lodging at Lanier Islands is your pick, rustic to luxury. The lake is very busy and at times resembles the ocean. Numerous campgrounds and RV parks on the lake. Old Federal has one of the best beaches on site 15. Perfect to beach your boat for day use. Bald Ridge Campground is below level, dock is on land, no good spot to park your boat. Shady Grove has one good beach spot for parking your boat around #78. All in all, Old Federal's beach is the nicest and off a main channel.
