This is a great place for a picnic and walk. The falls are not that spectacular, but the river is pretty. There is parking b lower falls, and lots of of picnic benches, BBQ grills and toilets.

I went with my wife, two sons, and my daughter. it was a load of fun. the campsites were really clean and big. the waterfalls were to die for. and my sons even jumped some falls. the middle falls was the most excellent waterfall there. there was plenty of hiking places around the area. also there were plenty of places for fishing. there were no mosquitoes around but uffortunatly there weren't any showers.

McCloud Fall are not as impressive as other falls, but if you are in the area - they should not be missed. The park entrance is free and you can drive and park next to the lower falls. Lots of people fishing \in the river just above the lower falls. You can see the fish swimming. It is just a short hike up to the middle falls - the trail is big enough and paved for half of it that you can push a jogger stroller. The middle falls are much more impressive and the kids loved playing in the river under them. There is an upper falls that we did not go to as it was very hot that day - but it does not add on much to the hike.
