“We love Lake Tahoe year-round!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

What's not to love... crisp mountain air, great restaurants, fantastic hiking trails, world-class skiing, and one of the most beautiful bodies of water on the planet! Summer brings out the best in this scenic area with winding mountain roads for amazing motorcycle riding. South Lake offers an interesting hatchery museum and horseback riding, West Shore has Emerald Bay and beautiful Eagle Falls, North Shore has the Lone Eagle and a great golf course....there is so much to explore around Lake Tahoe that you could spend a week and just scratch the surface. It is an extreme sports heaven all year-round...check out the hang gliders on the east side of Mt. Rose and the winter sports at North Star, Diamond Peak, Mt. Rose/Slide Mountain, Heavenly and Squaw Valley! Don't miss a horse-drawn carriage around the town in South Shore! Best of all, Lake Tahoe is so close to Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Virginia City that you can also explore those areas! If you're into motorcycles, be sure to visit Nevada Motorcycle Specialties / Reno KTM in Sparks. They are a destination for all KTM/Husaberg riders because they are one of the oldest dealerships in the USA! Our favorite restaurants in Lake Tahoe are the Lone Eagle Grill in North Shore (think big rock fireplace, great food right on the lake) and Garwoods on the North/East Shore (wooden deck right on the lake with a dock to tie off your boat). Oh yeah, there are great casinos on the Nevada side of the lake! Be sure to check out the CalNeva where they have a pool that is 1/2 in Nevada and 1/2 in California...and they say that Marilyn Monroe and the Rat Pack hung out there!

“Beautiful scenery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

This beautiful lake is so blue you think it isn't real. Take a boat ride either on the show boat or on a catamaran....both are fun and gets you beautiful photos and many interesting stories of the area.

“Lake Tahoe California and Nevada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

This must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. A drive around the lake is a must with stops at various places including view of Emerald Bay. South Lake Tahoe has just about everything for the visitor and just across the State Line in Nevada there are the casinos with even more of them at Incline Village and on the North shore. The Nevada State Park on Lake Tahoe is beautiful and no fee for parking or entry.
