“Beautiful beach”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

This was a beautiful beach. The vendors are on the beach but they don't bother you. Locals go here so you can meet some nice people.

“Behind the flea market”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

As everywhere on this holiday beautiful sea and sand. Bars selling food and drink dotted up and down the beach and cheap to get to!

“Quickest visit...”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

Tried a trip to this place as it was a "To-Do" sort of thing. Cost by taxi there 5 CUC. We didn't ask the driver to wait as we didn't know what to expect.
Small market with a lot of the same stuff on the stalls, two small open-air cafes behind, we paid the tourist price of 5 CUCs for two home made lemonades. A band of 5 lads sat in the café, checked out our whitish skin and asked us if we wanted to hear some music. Admittedly they were very good, and the music catchy and loud, we gave them 10CUC after two songs or they would have kept going!!!
The beach looked lovely with turquoise sea and white sand; not too crowded but quite noisy, as speakers were pumping out loud music. Not our thing, so decided our hotel was a better option. So we made our way back through the market, stopping to buy a couple of fridge magnets (which we always do on hols) for a couple of pesos. That done, we went back to the hotel. Trip over.... Time in total (inc travelling) One hour. If you don't want the beach that's plenty of time.

“Escapism”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Came on the bus from our holiday resort to escape for a day. Spent a half day sunbathing and swimming. Lovely, although there was rubbish on the beach and in the sea. Only 1 CUC to hire a sunbed for the day. Walked around the market looking for holiday souvenirs. Then walked up to the restaurant to the left of the beach up the cliff for lunch. Nice to get away from the hotel and easy back in a taxi - only 15 CUC for a people carrier.
