Daniel met us at the airport and we stayed our first night with him. A delicious meal including lobster made our stay with him and his family one of the best casa particular's we stayed in. He is a natural host and great ambassador for Cuba - his english is excellent and he really sorted us out for our ongoing accommodation. A wonderful start to our trip - Family of 4 (2 teenagers)

We stayed 2 nights with Daniel and his family. The house is lovely, with a large private terrace. Our room was large, very comfortable, clean and quiet. The food was excellent and the family extremely welcoming and friendly. They were wonderful hosts. Daniel speaks very good English which is great for travellers whose basic Spanish limits a proper conversation .

Ask Daniel for driving directions to the house. It is close to the main road, and easy to drive to, but the street was not on our maps or Google. From Holguin we drove to Baracoa via Moa in December 2012. From Moa it was 4 stressful hours to navigate 65 kilometres of potholes in our small rental car! We advise to take the longer but faster route via Guantanamo.

I stayed here for one night in December 2012. Daniel, Marcia and their family we're great. Very helpful and truly concerned about the comfort and well being of their guests. Very sociable too. This is your best bet in Holguin. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and big. Daniel can arrange a well priced taxi to the costal resorts. They are adding a small apartment at the front of the house which looks like it will be great as well. Holguin is a great city to view Cuban life. The casa affords you a good look at Cuban life. Strongly recommended.

The Casa was a great choice to spend a few days in Holguin. Great property, rooms very comfortable and clean, very comfy bed. Food at Casa was brilliant especially the sea foods! Owners (Daniel and his wife) were there very helpful and kind. They gave us plenty of privacy when needed. No hesitation in recommending. Thank you for everything.

Daniel pick us up at the airport, and made sure we got the rental car we applied for. Helped us changing the first Euros to CUCs at a bank (not the crowded airport bank), brought us to a food store and bought some Cuban music with us.
We stayed at the casa for one night and it was a good start for our 3 week journey. The food was excellent. The breakfast was full of fresh fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, coffee, tea, juice, etc.. Like other travelers Daniel helped us planning our trip. He suggested how to make our tour and made reservations without any obligations. We used al his suggestions!! There was no reason to switch to other adresses.
Just start your trip with one or more nights at Villa La Roca.

After our stay we took the route via Moa to Baracoa. DON'T DO IT! Just take the route via Guantanamo. It's a lot more kms/miles but a lot less hours and stress.

We stayed at the casa for 3 nights and it was the best way to start our 3 week vacation in Cuba! Daniel came to pick us up from the airport and he and his wife are super friendly, Daniel also speaks very good english. The food was excellent, every night we got to choose what we wanted to eat. The breakfast includes fresh fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, ham, coffee, hot milk, fresh fruit juice, ... it's the best way to start your day. what was also very good was that Daniel helped us planning the rest of our trip. He arranged casa's for us in Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa, Trinidad, Havana and Viñales and they were all very good. During our stay in Trinidad he even called us to ask if we were all right. So I can realy recommend this casa, you will not regret it!
