Visiting the Caburni Waterfall from Trinidad starts with a half hour drive over a poorly asphalted road, steep uphill. You park at the Kurhotel and from there you go downhill. It took us, with children 8-14 about 1.45 hrs to get down to the waterfall. The track is rocky and will be muddy if wet. Wear proper shoes and bring enough water, you'll sweat.
The reward is a intimate, picture-perfect pool with waterfall. The water is refreshingly cool, although some Cubans and some other found it too cold. A great day out, and a good hike. Uphill: 2 hours climb. At 1/5 from the top is a small salespoint where you can get a free drink for your entrance-ticket.
