I travelled in Sally W's party of 11 and agree wholeheartedly with her review. Cuba is certainly not renowned for its cuisine, but Maria's was by far and away the best food we had during our entire trip around Cuba. And it just kept coming... High quality and a taste of the real Cuban kitchen

Maria and Enddy prepared dinner for our noisy, boisterous party of eleven, coping with vegetarians, fish eaters, lobster lovers and carnivores. The dishes were varied, plentiful, perfectly cooked, presented and absolutely delicious. We were so impressed we returned for lunch another day and had an enormous barbecue of pork with side dishes of plantain, yucca with pork scratchings and other delights. We didn't have the opportunity to stay but we saw the rooms, which are lovely.

The casa we stayed in in Havana (Hilda y Alejandro - awesome) booked this casa for us and we're so glad that they did. This casa is incredibly well located, around a 3 minute walk from the bus station and 5 minutes from Plaza Mayor.

On our first evening we decided to ask Maria to cook for us. So glad we did it was by far the best meal we ate in the whole of Cuba. Three delicious courses for 10CUC each. I had the breaded fish and my girlfriend had the breaded shrimp. We would almost certainly have ordered food for the next night too but it was a Sunday and Maria was out for the day.

The house itself is beautiful, as is the courtyard which the bedrooms are just off. Breakfast was delicious and Maria is lovely and friendly and helpful. We can't recommend staying here enough

This casa was beautiful and comfortable, one of the best in Cuba. The breakfasts were amazing and the location was perfect. Maria, her mother and the rest of her family were so friendly and helpful. Maria even went so far as to pickup a camera charger I had left behind in Havana while she was and drop it off at my next casa in Cienfuegos. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, thank you Maria for all of your help.
