Our stay in Trinidad was difficult because my husband was very ill. Jade, one of the brothers who helps to run Casa Izquierdo is a doctor and as soon as he heard my husband coughing through the night, he popped up to our private room with his medical bag and examined my husband. He then went out and got him medication. All this and he refused to accept any payment. Our food was delicious. I am a vegetarian, my husband is not and the family not only accommodated our different diets but prepared generous meals of fresh vegetables, delicious fish, freshly squeezed juices and sweet fruits for us. The portions were so generous that I had to ask them to not give us so much food. We had great conversations with the family and shared laughter. They gave us good information about the town and also allowed us plenty of privacy when we wanted it. The room is a generous size and includes a fridge, indoor and outdoor table for meals and a private terrace - a gorgeous place to sit and have your morning coffee! We highly recommend this Casa Particular!
