We managed to get a room here at late notice after we were let down by our earlier reservation (at Casa Elio Ramos). We were given helpful advice before arriving, were picked up from the bus and shown into our room next to a beautiful courtyard. The room was comfortable and had plenty of water etc in a small fridge, a blessing when it's so warm. The zircon was effective (although quite noisy).

We stayed for 4 nights and Alberto helped us organise trips and made recommendations. We ate at the Casa every night and it was easily the best food we had in Cuba - lamb, beef, chicken, lobster - whatever we wanted. Breakfast was also delicious - fresh fruit, bread, eggs any way we wanted.

Location was good - easy walking distance from all the main sights in town as well as the train station for trips into the countryside.

We stayed 2 nights with Alberto and Osmar in their very luxurious casa in Trinidad. Alberto was a great host, very friendly and very professional in the way the casa was run - it felt like a hotel!
The food was amazing, with a professional chef on hand creating whatever dish we liked.
The location was great, an easy walk to the centre of Trinidad and all the main attractions.

Firstly I would like to thank Alberto for the wonderful hospitality, it was more like staying with an old friend than staying in somebodies home in a far away country. This we feel, along with the cost, is the main difference between hotels and Casa's, they are much more personable. As with most Casa's, from the outside its unimaginable what lies within. We had been staying around the corner in the Iberostar for a couple of nights and had another night in Trinidad so already had worked out where we were staying as some Casa;s can be hard to find. Through the door is a driveway to a courtyard with several 2 story buildings with spacious rooms and terraced roofs, you can sit out if you want. They are expanding (extra rooms) the Casa at the moment but the work is very low key and hardly noticable. We stayed the Saturday night where 2 blocks down is the open air disco in the square, so noise could be heard into the night but the rum cocktails and ear plugs sorted that out. Next morning the breakfast was served in the courtyard and was excellent, the best Mangos I have ever tasted. We had a late check out but Alberto said there wasn't any issue with storing our luggage until we had to leave. Directly behind the rooms is a large Bar / open air function area which was beginning to fill up as we left so we are not sure if noise could have been an issue for the remaining guest, it was Mothering Sunday in Cuba and they do like to celebrate.

We stayed as a family in 3 rooms for 3 nights from may 3-may 6. Osmari had warned us in advance for the locals who tried to direct us to their related casas, but we drove straight to the Miguel Calzada 114, where we found Alberto in front of his beautiful home. First a cocktail in the cozy backyard and then we found all our 3 rooms clean and comfortable. We had good beds, quiet nights and just a short walk to the colorful cobblestone centre. Breakfast was excellent with variation over the days. We enjoyed two well above average dinners outside in the backyard. All the personnel was attentive and friendly. Alberto can arrange nearly everything. We challenged him, when my wife left her sunglasses on an island during a by all means recommendable catamaran trip. Alberto managed to get the sunglasses delivered into our hotel in Havana before our return to Holland.

The owners are extremely friendly, the location is pleasant, close to Iberostar, just a bit far from bus terminal on foot. The services are excellent. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. Try the Daiquiri: a must.
The room have a good size, several places to rest with rocking chairs and hammocks.
Excellent place to stay.

Renaud2607:
Room's are at 25 and 30 CUC depending of the room. That's right that is not said before the bill.
Cocktails (pina coloda, morito and daiquiri) were at 2CUC. (2013-03)
