“Our top choice for Trinidad”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We actually ate there twice over 3 nights! Best thing is to go the main square and wait for one of the "representative" of the restaurant to sell it to you. They will promise you (and deliver!) grilled pork, chicken, lobster or prawns for CUC6, which incl fruits, veggies and rice. A very nicely proportioned meal for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is also great.

“Must see the back courtyard!”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

It's a very nice place to have dinner. A little too expensive for Cuba, but the foot was fresh, very tasty and the service was more than okay. Mojitos & Pina Colada rules! :)

“Fun place to visit”
Reviewed May 3, 2012

This is a very unusual paladar. From the front , it doesn't look great and it's not in the best part of town, but out back, it's an incredible set up. Six or seven tables so it's best to book ahead. They seem to have a bit of a strange booking system where you are supposed to say the owner's name when you make the reservation. I didn't know this and actually went in person to make the booking and they gave me the guy's name on a bit of paper to show when I came for dinner. I brought it with me but didn't have to show it in the end. I think it's so that you can demonstrate you have a booking, as it's quite popular. Anyway, it's worth the visit.

“Delicious food and excellent ambience”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

I went here to have lunch with my 5-year old. They accommodated the set menu for her (half price) and the dishes were delicious and more original than in most places in Trinidad. The service was attentive and the atmosphere relaxed.

“Ripped off”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

We were conned into going here for a quick lunch; $60, three hours, 2 mediocre enchiladas and cokes later, we left.
The courtyard setting was beautiful but I would definitely NOT recommmend this place unless you are looking for a 4-course priz fixe meal at a higher than average price.
