We stayed for 3 nights in this quaint old colonial house full of antiques, exceptionally well located in Trinidad. Clean rooms, hot water, air con, rooms fully equipped with 220 volt power points, a luxury to be able to recharge and use electrical items. We felt really at home in their house, like part of the family. Carlos is a character and even though his English is as limited as our Spanish, we really took to him, always with a friendly word and always vigilant that all is well.Him and his lovely wife go out of their way to make sure all is well in their house..Great breakfasts and also good evening meal.
From point of view of atmosphere has to be the best casa particulares we stayed in, would not hesitate to recommend

Room Tip: Dont take the room right at the back of the house

This guy is as dishonest casa owner. After booking this casa three months before our arrival to Trinidad and at least two confiramtion emails from Carlos when we arrived we found out that for one night he wants us to move to another casa. As we objected (beeing very tired and just craving for some rest) he offerd us a room already occupied by one lady who as he said will be moved to other location. To maximise his profit he is moving people around to keep his casa full all the time!!! The room he showed us was dark, very, very trired and not as glamorous as picture shows. I must admit I have spend in this casa only one hour and this is the worst casa I have seen in Cuba. The main entance is nice and glamorous but if the kitchen area just needs proper clean!! Never book this casa if you think you may arrive late to Trinidad (you just will not have time to find another location). There are lots of much nicer casas with honest owners in this town.

We stayed back in Dec 12 (been a little lazy putting up the review!). We stayed for 5 nights and we couldn't fault the place (well, im sure we could but this is Cuba!). We had TWO double beds which was great as it was soooo hot it meant we could have our own space. Although he spoke very limited English and was a little shy, Carlos soon become a lovely, funny friendly guy.. My partner was poorly for two days and he did everything he could to help.. the food was great, the breakfast juice was AMAZING.. he let me loose in his kitchen and we all had cocktails together, we used their washing 'sink', watched while they had their matteres re-stuffed ! (bizzare!!). The upstairs open roof was great to spend the evening drinking and reading while watching the sun set.. Casan the dog was a such a dude, he kept gaurd outside our door and wanted to play ALL the time and Tito the Parrot was a little nervous but we taught him how to say potato :) the locaiton is great, you will find restaraunts and bars all within a 5 minute walk, LOADS of street food stalls on the same road and markets to get water and snacks also.. Carlos also rented us bikes for the day, one i think was from a neighbour but they were great and cost about £2 for the day.. He also made us sandwiches when he found out we were going on a day trip.. I really couldn't rate this family higher, we had such a lovely stay and we generally missed Carlos when we left.. After the cocktail evening, they even gave us a present when we left, which was a plaque that had burnt out Cuban cocktail recipes on :)

I stayed at this casa particular for 4 nights. The location is good, in the centre of town and within walking distance of Plaza Mayor (5 min) and most of the other points of interest in Trinidad. The room was comfortable with a large bed, nightstand, fridge, fan and attached bathroom with a good flow of water from the shower (unlike most showers in Cuba). The only thing missing was an airconditioning unit, but Carlos was planning on installing one soon. The breakfast was the best I had during my stay in Cuba: fresh fruit, bread, butter, homemade guayabe marmelade, homemade juice, omelette and tea/coffee. Carlos and Rebecca are very friendly and helpful people and I enjoyed staying at their casa!

We (family of 4) enjoyed very much our stay with Carlos and his family. It was New Year eve and we shared a whole pig that Carlos and his brother in law spent all day cooking . Delicious. Vegetarians would have enjoyed the plantanas, salads, rice and beans , yukka and the dessert. Great guava fruit juices in the morning. Very conveniently located and well maintained old colonial house.

I could not fault this Casa. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and it was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds anda beatuiful outdoor patio, not to mention the beautiful terrace! The food here was superb, the Lobster was devine! The Casa has a very relaxed atmosphere and nothing was a problem. Thanks for helping to make our stay in Trinidad so memorable!
