Owner description: The steep incline of this vineyard makes tours out of the question, but a delicious lunch on the patio, overlooking hills and water, as well as a taste of the excellent Chardonnay makes a visit here very worthwhile.

Just a short stop for a glass of wine before moving on.

Lovely location, great outlook. Saw a tour group being guided through some vines and getting some lessons on viticulture - looked interesting.

We were given a table in the restaurant, albeit briefly, while we had our wine which was nice, and provided a lovely vista.

I can't comment on the restaurant or other service aspects, but we enjoyed our glass of wine before moving on.

Thank Brendon L

We came here on our wedding day with high expectations expecting to do a wine tour and tasting. We were given only two wines to taste. They were the same wine, just different years. There was no discussion, no tour, no information and the owner was rude to the groom and guests. I cant believe we paid money for such a poor experience!

The only good thing about our visit was the great views. Not made welcome at all! The wine tasting offer was for 4 wines for what I thought $9. We got a tasting of the same wine - different years - a real let down and was then charged $12 for the privilege. No comments about the wine - the owner, and other staff were there and couldn't even mention anything about his wines. VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

We stopped at Te Whau Vineyard as part of a Waiheke Island wine tour. It was the last stop on the tour and I am usually about 'wined out' by then. Well, I think the best was saved for last. We had 2 very generous pours of his best wine and we weren't disappointed. We loved listening to Tony's knowledge and passion for his wines. We loved it so much, we bought a case!

If you are here with a tour then Tony puts on quite a show. We were not but watched from the sidelines. Very very nice wines and wonderful views across the harbour back to Auckland
