“A place for family!!!”
Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

We spent half day in Wild on Waiheke during our stay in Waiheke island. It was about 25 minutes drive from Boatshed boutique hotel.
The lunch portion served was "huge"! We ordered a bowl of mushroom soup, a rib, a pizza and 2 kids meal (came in a box inside with either deep fried chicken nuggets or fish fillets and lots of chips!), we really couldn't finish it.
Hot chocolate was one of the best I have during my 17 days trip in North island.

My kids enjoyed playing in their kids' playground, slides, swings, sand...

They have archery activity too.

Other than that they also offered wine yard touring.

Highly recommended.

“Felt like a festival!”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

This place was buzzing when we went, it was stunning weather and rather busy but there was something for everyone. We had an hour to spare before we had to catch our return ferry so we popped in gabbed a drink each and played some petanque then settled onto the bean bags to soak up the sun. There was a wide range of groups, a stag do, a hens party, a children's birthday, family's having lunch and couples enjoying a drink, everyone had their own space and looked to be having a great time. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly, we'd definitely go back.

“Good Kiwi tucker, great beer!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

We visited Wild on Waiheke as my fiance had been the month before for his work 'team building' day and had thoroughly enjoyed the laser shooting and archery so much we thought we'd try it!

Sadly when we rang, we were told that the minimum people for the events was 4 people. However we left our phone number, and they promptly rang us back to say that a group was booked so we could slot in after them! We were chuffed! Thanks guys at Wild on Waiheke!

We headed there for lunch first as our session wasn't until after 12pm. We each had a tasting of beer and wine, both of which we thorougly enjoyed. We tried the burgers, and what a helping! You certainly can't complain about the portions. My burger was so big, we took the leftover burger and chips home for our dinner! :)

We proceeded over to the archery and laser shooting..... all great fun! Highly recommend Wild on Waiheke for lunch and then some 'activity' to work your lunch off! :)

Service great and everyone really friendly. Looking forward to going back and enjoying one of their superb beers!

“Excellent choice for wine, beer, cider tasting and a great lunch”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Just had lunch at this great spot on Waiheke Island nestled amongst the vines and surrounding native bush, what better setting. It is a smaller winery but also a micro brewery and cider making venture and all excel. I tried the wine and it was excellent. Lunch was fantastic, innovative kiwi fare with no pretentions unlike some of the winery restaurants on Waiheke Island. You do not need to take a tour bus, a local bus from the ferry wharf will drop you off at the gate and then it's a two minute walk. Also has archery, petanque and a giant chess board, plenty of grass for the kids to run around on. I'll be back.
