I don't like writing bad reviews, but after having so many wonderful dining experiences in other places in New Zealand, I had to say something.
My husband ordered a pre-made sandwich that he seemed to enjoy as myself and our dining companion waited for our fish special and spaghetti dish. I thought it a bit strange that the sandwich was just thrust over the counter to my husband, no toasting or garnish added to the plate, whist we were waiting for our ordered meals. We then waited for quite a long time, sipping on coffee that was, quite frankly, acceptable (just!), but not up the high standard we had been experiencing for 3 weeks in Wellington. The fish dish was well received by our companion, but my spaghetti was terribly salty. Like unbelievably salty. For the price ($18.50) for a bowl of salty spaghetti with sparse button mushrooms and tomato sauce (no meat in this dish, by the way!), it was poor value.
Maybe if I had ordered something else, our experience would have been better, but I don't think we will be back.
