We were attracted by the menu in the window back in October 2012 when it had only been open for 3 weeks. Apart from very long waits for our orders, the excellent front of house acknowledged that there was an issue there, we were very impressed. We visited on a moderately busy Friday night (at a time of year when Picton is pretty dead) before heading home to ChCh. From reviews on a NZ dining review website it appears that the waiting issues have been resolved. Despite that I have to rate the service very good because of the excellent waitress. The experience was good enough that our late arrival home was not an issue!
