This is a daily 4 hour trip where the mail is delivered to outlying communities in Marlborough Sounds. Well worth $90.00. as a passenger

We are a group of 8 professional women who like to do energetic walks with comfortable accommodation and good food and wine at the end of the day. Queen Charlotte met our needs with sensational views, some hard walking the option to have your pack taken for you to teh next night's accommodation, and good accommodation at the end of each tiring day's walk. It rains a lot, and we didn't have on completely dry day, But that was fine with us - all part of our quest to get tired and dirty by day, and to pampered at night. I'd recommend it.

Downsides compared to the many other organised walks we have done were that it was quite a big group and the accommodations large. The smaller mre personal accommodations wre better. But a beautiful walk in a beautiful part of the world.

Like most places in NZ, this is a beautiful area. Take time to soak up the natural beauty that surrounds you.

Traveling from Picton to Nelson via the sounds provides some of the best scenery on the south island.
