We had pre booked a cruise around Queen Charlotte Sound. the scenery was beautiful, the staff both in the office and on the boat were very friendly. There was complimentary tea and coffee on board, which was nice. The cruise we took doubled as the mail run. This added to the interest as we stopped off at several points along the way for people living on the various islands to collect supplies. The captain fed wild Blue Cod in one of the bays, which was great to see. To top it all we passed a small pod of dolphins and had a good view. Beachcomber Cruises come highly recommended.

We chose Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company's guide 4 day walk and what a great choice this was.
The tour was smooth running and well organized but there was no feeling of being too constrained. Our guide was excellent and his knowledge unbelievable!
The accommodation and meals were wonderful.
Would thoroughly recommend doing the walk this way.
The walk of 71 kms takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and environment carefully and well maintained.
Reasonable level of fitness required.

This was a great tramp, reasonable level of fitness is required, beautiful scenery especially from the ridges. Some long days but you can tailor this to your needs as there are many options. Definitely worth doing once it is a beautiful part of NZ.
