“Very average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014 via mobile

Last week whilst in Picton I went with a family member for a Thai meal. It was very average. The menu is very extensive giving a great choice of dished but the food was very average. The service was even worse. When we got there we approached the counter and were pointed in the general direction of a table. No polite assistance just a waving finger. Sorry but they will need to do a lot better to get me back. In a small town like Picton they will need to improve to stay in business over the leaner months

“Fantastic Thai”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

We first discovered this place some time ago in search of a good cheap meal in Picton, and were so impressed we have been back a number of times (now a family favourite when travelling through Picton). This is more a takeaway with some tables in case you want to eat there. The food is fantastic and could match any Thai restaurant. Eating there is OK but don't expect a restaurant as you are paying takeaway prices. I would love the owners to sell up and set up anew in our local shops in Wellington!

“Great value and quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Looks nothing special from the street, but well worth stepping inside. Menu has both Thai and Chinese food available, although Chinese menu is far smaller selection than the Thai. Food is some of the best Thai I have had in NZ. Service was quick (even though there was only one member of serving staff). Our group visited on a Friday night and the place was heaving by 7.30pm, with queues for take-away as well as dine-in customers.

Well worth the short walk from the middle of town to eat here. As with other reviewers the décor lets the place down a bit but should not stop you from eating here.

“Food was fab!”

Went as a group and the food was lovely, All sorts of flavors and enough to tantalize the taste buds and quell the hunger. Didn't like the plastic table cloths but food distracted from that.

“Great place for small groups and faultless service and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

We have been here many many times for takeaway and dining in
It is great place for small groups... birthday celebrations..pre show meal or simply a night out with friends
We always have the banquet option..being either $20 or $25 a head and offering around 6-8 courses from entree to mains
courses are always generous and authentic and a treat for the tastebuds and there is no clock watching so you can enjoy a leisurely evening with friends without fear of being booted out!
BYO option is great and minimal to no corkage fee which is much appreciated
Restaurant is set in an old house and diners sit in one of the spacious living areas..the owners in last six or so months have completely refurbished dining areas with new tables and chairs..curtains etc and it is always warm and cosy even on coldest of evenings
Gail the sole waitress does an amazing job...she is friendly efficient and always makes you feel special...at 16-17 yrs of age and with english as her second language she could teach a lot of young ones the finer points of hospitality
one of our favourite little places in Picton
