We had a great meal here - lovely views and good food and attentive service without being pushy and all at a reasonble price

“Excellent!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Menu varied and accommodating many tastes, with a very good selection for those interested in gluten-free options. The green-lipped mussels were fresh, succulent, and tasty - the sauce so tasty. The pork belly fantastically porky and crunchy, salty, and tender! We've returned for breakfast twice - also very, very good! ...as is the coffee. Great atmosphere inside and out and great service!

“such a disappointment”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Marlborough's second biggest export are mussels however, Seabreeze served up 7 tiny overcooked mussels as an entree, nothing like the picture on their advertising. I also thought their seafood chowder nothing more than a seafood flavoured too thick white sauce with a few tiny pieces of overcooked seafood, nothing like the delicious chowders I'd tried elsewhere (eg at Wellington's Te Papa museum for half the price). Location and service was great, pity about the cook! Charged far too much for what they delivered.

“Nice service, nice meal”

You have a pretty view out to the water and the meals and service were very good. They had a wide selection of beer, some of which were quite an imaginative concoction.

“Not quite up to it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

A pity because the location is very good and it looks so welcoming. A very friendly manageress and generally good table service let down by average food and prices a little higher than perhaps they should be. The risotto looked very enticing on the menu but was unfortunately both stodgy and a little bland, the rest of the food unmemorable. They know they will get custom because of the location, but it could And should have been much better. The food in Gusto up the road was of much higher quality.
