We spent a good hour and a half looking around the museum. Very informative and interesting. Highlight was stepping onto the boat.

“History at its best”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

What a fascinating story! The museum was informative but not over done with too much written information. The stories of the boat's life were extraordinary and to be able to walk onto the boat and see it in is un-restored state was superb. Highly recommended

Cost 10 bucks to get in but it's a donation to help preserve this awesome boat which plays in important role in New Zealand history.

“Edwin Fox maratime Museum, Picton, New Zealand”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

Great place to visit. One of the very few surviving ships from this era. Very well worth a visit if Passing through, Picton, South Island NZ. That is where the Inter island Ferry departs The South Island to Wellington.
