We stayed in Granvue one night before taking the ferry the day after and we highly recommend this B&B. The view from the room is just fantastic!! In addition the room is spacious, bed very comfortable, all very clean and tidy, breakfast very nice and the hosts were just lovely persons who also very kindly drove us to the ferry as we were running very late! Thank you so much again!

We spent four nights in late September 2011 in the self contained unit. The view is superb yet it is also close to town so walking to restaurants or to the supermarket is not a problem. Rosalie and Russell are the consummate hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. Russell gave us a lift early in the morning to the boat for the Queen Charlotte Track day walk, Rosalie suggested a lovely fish recipe and provided the necessary utensils to make it after we had bought some fish to cook that night and, on the last night of our stay, they invited us to help them "christen" their new BBQ. Continental breakfasts were healthy, with plentiful supplies of fresh produce and it was a delight to sit and chat with our hosts. The unit was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was great to be able to prepare our own lunches and a dinner. If you are coming to Picton make Grandvue your choice of accommodation.

We spent two nights with Rosalie (Russell was away so we did not meet him, sadly) and we had a wonderful warm welcome, a really beautiful room with every possible thing we could want for our comfort and a magnificent view. The breakfast was delicious - we thorooughly recommend anyone visiting Picton to stay at Grandvue.

My husband and I stayed at Grandvue for 2 nights on our honeymoon. The room is self-contained, with gorgeous views of Marlborough Sounds. The B&B is a short walk to town. Rosalie and Russell are a lovely couple - and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats. They also serve up delicious breakfasts. A great place to stay and terrific value for money!

We wanted some where close to waterfront, did Breakfast and enabled us to make our own evening meal. Grandview hit all the right buttons. We had 2 nights as we walked the track one day. water taxis leave early so breakfast was 7am and Russell drove us down to the water front for 7:30 (its only 10 mins walk - but the drive was very helpful) Rosalie made the water taxi booking for us too. Great views down the sound from the windows too. Large room with comfortable bed and sofa and kitchen area (plus shower room). Website gave accurate impression. Russell and Rosalie very friendly and chatty but as the unit is seperate from the house you also feel independant too.

A really nice good value B&B in Picton. Up a steepish hill but only a few mins walk from centre. Self contained room and really nice view from the big window or graden area. Great base for a few days in the area. Seems to be a bit of building improvement going on in marina area so this was a great spot just out of the way. Enjoyed it.
