“Feels like home”

This is by far the best hostel I've stayed in while traveling around New Zealand. The rooms are large and spacious, and no bunks!! There are socks you can use and the kitchen is well stocked!! The garden with fresh herbs and veggies is a great touch too. When you stay here, get the breakfast...it's well worth it and delicious. The coffee Nikki makes is also fantastic!

If you are tired from traveling and want a nice place to rest..I highly recommend this place. The hammocks and the various other little activities (juggling, poi, hula hooping) are a great way to relax. It's also walking distance to town. Love this place! I'll definitely be back!

We had a great stay here with Nikki and Bruce, they are so welcoming and go out their way to make you feel at home. Both had great knowledge of the area and we followed their recommendations which were brilliant. After a fun day on the sounds we were welcomed back with the offer of a home cooked roast - delicious! Great breakfasts, they go the extra mile with homemade bread and jams on offer to enjoy! Well deserving of the trip advisor 'excellence' certificate that arrived just before we got there, placing them in the top 10% in the world!!

My partner and I came to do a show in Picton. We had the exquisite pleasure of staying at Jugglers Rest. We can't wait to get back. My partner and I felt so at home there. The garden, the homemade bread and preserves, the adorable bed socks... The energy of the place is gentle and welcoming . I was so impressed with how spotless it was , without the use of harsh chemicals . That is one thing i find hard when I'm traveling, even some of my favourite places to stay use horrible carpet deodorizers or strongly scented chemicals to clean and I am very sensitive to chemicals. Nikki uses natural laundry soap and her place is so clean in a very natural way that made me feel like l was at home or visiting a like-minded friend. Jugglers rest is simple, soulful, beautiful , modest , unique, eclectic, with just the right touch of history and magic . The love, attention and respect lavished on this historic Picton home and shared with her guests is rare and we can't wait to come back. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely experience to anyone, and would go so far as to suggest people go out of their way to spend time there. You must buy the socks! We love ours:)

What a beautiful place! Such friendly service! Homely shared living room and cosy bedrooms. Feels like you're in paradise nestled into the lush green valley. Exciting FREE fire and circus shows. excellent facilities that are kept immaculate. Yummy warm fire place. This place is vibrant and buzzing with activity but still remains a welcoming, relaxing place to be. I recommend this 100%!!!

One of the most beautiful spaces I've had the pleasure of spending time in. Beautiful owner and amazing friendly knowledgeable managers who are always there to help. I look forward to staying there on every trip I have through Picton. This place breeds creativity and activity while still being homely, such a great combination.

It's such a beautiful and homely atmosphere... Plenty of space to play & spin toys, poi, staff, hoop, juggle, slack-line, or just do yoga out on the spacious stone yard. Or have elderflower cordial out on the beautiful wooden deck, surrounded in greenery, vines and flowers... Cozy and clean rooms with fabulous crocheted socks guaranteed... Delicious free-range eggs and home-made jams on freshly baked bread every morning for just a tiny cost... Juggler's Rest is just a few meters away from a river and a nice swimming hole, and bushes to walk all around... This fantastic place with fantastic hosts, Nikki and Bruce, is not to be missed on your Marlborough journeys...
