Earlier this month,we booked for 7.30 and arrived on time. After waiting a couple of minutes, a middle aged blonde woman wearing glasses, ( I give this description for the owners benefit) came over and just stood there. I mentioned that we had a booking, she picked up menus and walked off to a reserved table. We followed and while we were standing by the table waiting to be seated, she spoke her only words to us which was to tell us " the fish of the day" and then walked off. 15 minutes later she exited the restaurant with a bottle of wine under her arm. A very pleasant young woman took over and gave us very good service. The food was ok but at the prices charged we felt it was overpriced. Wine was reasonably priced. I see from previous reviews that others have also had issues with waiting staff. My wife's dessert looked suspiciously like an Aunt Betty's Sticky Date pudding, although garnished very nicely.
