Rooms are large an centrally located on the main drag in town, just 3-5 min from the ferry terminal. Staff is friendly and helpful. Worst things are that the train tracks run behind it, and that you can hear the ferry horns regularly through the windows

Our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children stayed here for 2 nights. The room was very spacious with a HUGE bathroom but somewhat cramped kitchenette facilities. Upstairs was definitely better as you had much more privacy. Very close to all the town has to offer (a very short walk to supermarket, harbour area/boat trip departures, restaurants etc.). Noisy at night due to proximity of train line but great views of the mountains westward of the town.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room! Downstairs is VERY open.

Nice modern accommodation. The pillows could have been a little more comfy - small complaint really. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to visit and a great place to stay to catch the ferry to Wellington. Great places to eat at in Picton too.

We stayed in the Motel prior to undertaking the Queen Charlotte Track hike. The motel is located a 2 minute walk from the centre of Picton and all the shops.

The rooms a large, airy and spotless. The beds very comfortable. There is a toaster and crockery in the room if you wish to self cater and BBQ facilities. The staff went out of their way to help us and nothing was too much trouble. We used the motel as a base to explore the Blenheim wine area.
There are great laundry facilities and free internet in the reception.

The owners stored all our access luggage when we went on the Queen Charlotte hike and we collected the luggage on our return.

I strongly recommend this motel.

Before commencing and completing the Queen Charlotte Walk, we overnighted at the Broadway. The accommodation was excellent and the staff exceedingly hospitable. I can thoroughly recommend the Broadway.

The Broadway was a great choice on our recent trip to Picton. The hotel seems quite new and the owners are welcoming and friendly. The bathroom was spacious and clean - with the heated towel rack a bonus on a cold December morning!

We nearly bypassed Picton but it would have been a mistake. The Broadway Motel was clean, up to date, spacious, comfortable, conveniently situated and run by a pleasant, helpful family. We were delighted to find, as in almost everywhere in our experience in NZ, to find a coffee plunger and two cup sachet of ground coffee which was replaced daily.
Our only reservation would be the proximity to the railway line and level crossing which was in active use by freight trains both nights we stayed. We are fresh air fiends though and closing the rear facing windows did help on the second night.
The motel is conveniently situated in this small town and was an excellent base for a couple of lovely walks in the Queen Charlotte Sound as well as an enjoyable dolphin watch cruise.

Room Tip: We were in rom 5 on the ground floor which didn't have much of a view, but was further than room...
